How
we can help.
Hanging in the offices of Imhoff Company is this:
A Prayer for our Church Structures
Gracious God, you came to us incarnate in Jesus of
Nazareth,
calling us into discipleship.
As your disciples, we have built holy places through which that incarnate
presence can always be met, known, worshiped and served.
We give You thanks that there are churches in which the Divine and human
can consciously come together.
Grant that we whose lives are enriched by these church structures may
so care for them that holy structures are available to Your people in
every generation.
Enable us to transform them into effective instruments of Your will.
Through the same Jesus Christ our Lord.
Amen
At Imhoff, we see the hand of the Divine at work in structures
both holy and historical, and we take pride in the restoration of these
incredible buildings. Where time and wind and water have taken their toll,
Imhoff Company can revitalize and renew.
Our shop facilities give us the ability to do architectural
sheet metal fabrication, stone cutting and fabrication, custom millwork,
masonry, carpentry, roofing systems, sheet metal, painting, and more.
Additionally, we have many hard to find masonry materials that we’ve
salvaged over the years; these include brick, limestone, terra cotta,
and brownstone, and other materials typically used in older structures.
On the job, we provide for the erection, maintenance and
dismantling of our own rigging, which can include over 2,000 sections
of pipe scaffolding and OSHA-grade planks, as well as other specialty
equipment. Nothing is left to chance, and safety is the first order of
the day on any project. We will even erect sidewalk and pedestrian bridging
and overhead protection where needed.
The people of Imhoff Company pride themselves in maintaining
expertise in many “master crafts” and in the fairness of our
dealings with those in charge of the buildings on which we work . . .
There are many reputable architectural preservation and
restoration companies across this nation, and we are considered to be
one of the best of them. But there are also those that are masters at
separating the unknowing from their money. We urge you to be careful when
hiring a firm to do restoration work on your structure. Check backgrounds
carefully, make sure the company you’re thinking about hiring has
a reputation for quality, is bonded and insured, and has a list of reliable
references with whom you can talk. If you take nothing for granted, you
can’t get taken.
